DIANA GEORGE SANTORO: A fifth-generation California native, Diana made her way back to Boston for college and rolled around NYC and the East Coast like a wild tumbleweed until she ultimately landed in her beloved Bucks County, Pennsylvania where she finally, happily barefoot, put down roots among her critters, flowers and family. She is honored to be a sister, a daughter, a gal pal, a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a community volunteer and a passionate advocate for individuals with Down syndrome. She's made a living as a designer, a photographer and a communicator.
Diana's Tasty Tidbits:
- Outlook: Glass is Half Full (probably wine but maybe a G&T in the summertime)
- Sign: Sun in Capricorn; Moon in Cancer (“feels ALL the feels, ALL the time”)
- Political Party: Ninja Wood Fairy (gardener + tree hugger + dirt digger + chicken lady)
- As a Mother of Boys, she plans to title her memoir: “Farts in Forts” (and already owns the URL)
- Enthusiastically dabbles in genealogy and recently discovered that she 1) is not “Very Irish” as family lore dictated, 2) is actually a Mayflower passenger descendant and, 3) found her *only* biological 1st cousin on this earth via a DNA kit she got for her birthday
- Lover *and* Fighter but, ultimately: Peacemaker

VALERIE LEWIS DURKIN:
Valerie was born in Miami where she was immersed in the Hispanic culture and learned fluent Spanish. A random college solicitation letter helped her land at Boston University. After graduation, she took a job at CNN and relocated to Atlanta where she settled down and grew roots. She has two college-aged children who are her “heart” walking outside her body. For the past 16 years, she has worked at Real Floors and is currently the Sr. VP of Business Development. She is a public speaker, volunteer, personal coach and advocate for women in business as well as a mother, daughter, friend, sister, dog lover and member of several sisterly tribes of impactful women!
Valerie's Juicy Morsels:
- Flower Power: Although she isn't a big fan of mums, carnations or daisies, she LOVES flowers and there are always fresh flowers in her home (roses, lilies, hydrangeas, tulips and orchids, to name a few).
- Health and Wellness: She decided to throw away her Spanx and replace them with workout pants! She’s a Crossfit enthusiast who has competed in three competitions. On her “off” days she is doing Hot Yoga, Hiking or Paddle Boarding. She has successfully lost, and kept off, over 50 lbs and is living a healthy and fit lifestyle. Her mantra: "Consistently consistent."
- Overall Outlook: Passionately positive with a bit of grit.
- Words to live by: PLAN YOUR FUN!
- Happy Place: She’s happiest when her toes are in the sand, the surf is rolling in and the sun is shining brightly on the beach.
- Spirit Animal: Butterfly! This lovely creature represents her personal transformation: caught in a cocoon for years, waiting and working hard until the exact moment she was meant to soar!
- Fun Fact: Has officiated seven weddings. They all remain happily married!
